01 / The brief
Designed for this place.
Extend the existing roofline without darkening the adjoining outdoor space.
The clients wanted to extend their existing roofline to capture more usable outdoor space. We followed the house form with aluminium framing and acrylic roofing, continuing the existing roof geometry over the outdoor area.
Acrylic roofing was selected in response to the daylight brief. The infilled gable end adds a covered side to one edge, while the garden side remains open.
