Summary

We use your information to respond to enquiries, deliver our services, improve our website and measure our advertising under the settings below. We do not sell your data.

What we collect

• Contact details you submit, such as your name, email, suburb and project notes.
• Optional project details, including sizes, style preferences, roofing and add-ons.
• Usage, performance and campaign-attribution data under the regional tracking settings below.
• Project files you choose to upload, such as photos, plans or sketches.

Cookies and analytics

We use essential, analytics and marketing cookie categories. Essential cookies keep core functions working. Analytics helps us understand site use. Marketing supports campaign measurement and advertising attribution.

Where enabled, Microsoft Clarity provides heatmaps and session replays of interactions on our public website to help us improve browsing, pergola design and enquiries. Replays reconstruct page interactions; they do not record your camera or other applications. Enquiry form content is masked. This service follows your analytics settings; private quotes, invoices and staff pages are excluded. See Microsoft’s privacy statement for how Microsoft processes this data.

For visitors identified as being in New Zealand, analytics and marketing tracking are enabled by default without an initial banner. Visitors outside New Zealand, or when country cannot be determined, choose before optional tracking loads. A saved choice always takes priority.

We use only the IP-derived country code to select this experience, keep the coarse result for the browser session, and do not store precise location for this purpose.

You can also control or delete cookies in your browser settings. You can still browse key pages and contact us if optional cookies are blocked.

How we use it

• To respond to your enquiry and provide information or quotes you request.
• To improve our website and services.
• To understand which advertising leads to enquiries and confirmed projects, where marketing tracking is enabled.

Advertising measurement

When marketing tracking is enabled under the regional settings above, we use Google Ads and Meta (Facebook and Instagram) to measure enquiries and subsequent sales. This helps us understand which ads lead to confirmed projects.

For this measurement, we may share advertising click identifiers, an internal transaction reference, the date a project is confirmed by a deposit and its agreed value with Google and Meta. We may also share hashed versions of the email address and phone number you provided so these platforms can match an enquiry or sale to an advertising interaction. Hashing converts the contact details into coded values; it does not make the information anonymous.

We do not send your name, address, project notes, photos or plans as part of this sale reporting. Google and Meta process this information for advertising measurement. See how Google uses information from sites and apps that use its services and Meta’s Privacy Policy.

With marketing tracking enabled, we keep paid-click identifiers in your browser for up to 90 days from the advertising visit so a later return can be linked to the original visit. Returning to the site does not restart that period. Turning marketing tracking off clears our saved browser identifiers. Information already submitted with an enquiry is retained with that enquiry under the retention terms above.

You can turn marketing tracking off using Manage cookie preferences above before submitting an enquiry. To stop future sale reporting for an enquiry you have already submitted, contact info@sanctuarypergolas.co.nz. Changing browser preferences alone does not identify an earlier enquiry in our internal records.

How we store it

To help you finish an enquiry, you can recover unsent details and selected photos or plans on this browser for up to 24 hours. They are sent to Sanctuary only when you submit the enquiry. Use Clear draft on the form to remove this browser copy, especially on a shared device. Expired copies are removed when you next open an enquiry form. Browser storage limits can prevent attachment recovery; the form will ask you to add those files again.

Enquiries and successfully submitted project files may be stored in our private internal systems for follow-up. Access is limited to staff and service providers needed to operate the enquiry process. Abandoned uploads are scheduled for deletion after their short-lived submission binding expires.

Sharing and retention

We do not sell your personal information. We may share it with trusted service providers solely to operate our services. We retain enquiry records as needed to provide service and for our records, unless you ask us to delete them where we can do so.
