The brief
Room for the driveway to work.
This Ardmore project turns a wide driveway area beside the home into a covered carport with a strong architectural profile. The black box perimeter gives the structure a clean outer line, while the red steel frame and gable roof form inside create a practical, open span for vehicle access and everyday use.
The design
A gable inside a box perimeter.
The black fascia gives the carport a straight outer line. Inside it, the red steel frame and gable geometry leave an open space for vehicle access beside the home.
The design
Steel, aluminium and acrylic.
Steel PFC beams work with aluminium rafters beneath six-millimetre acrylic roofing. The main roof falls at five degrees, with the gable resolving the roof geometry inside the frame. Integrated LED lighting completes the carport.
